An exceptional pearl half hoop ring set in 18ct yellow gold and dating from the 1800s.
Rings like this are becoming so hard to find and this all original half hoop band is in tip top condition. Set with five natural snowy white lustrous pearls that graduate across the setting, these are all well matched and original in their pinched setting that is very typical of Georgian jewellery. The setting measures 17.7mm across and 5.5mm wide at the largest, central pearl. The shank has ornate hand engraved detailing on the shoulders with a beautiful antique butter gold patina to it. The ring is in excellent antique condition with very little signs of wear.
