This ring is a marriage of antique components made in heaven and it is the most perfect little moon shaped treasure!
Featuring a rose cut foiled back diamond solitaire set in a silver “open flower bud” setting on a Victorian shank. The original plain gold shank was absolutely tiny and hollow so very difficult to resize. We found a Victorian shank that would fit the top diamond just perfectly so it’s been masterfully lasered together to create a ring that can now be worn and enjoyed everyday again. The old rose cut diamond features a high domed point, it is foiled and has a very moody bright shimmer to it as it catches the light. Set in a really pretty silver flower basket featuring fifteen little open petals, it is set in a beautiful 18ct yellow gold shank with ornate shoulders. The diamond setting measures 8.8mm wide and rises 7.5mm.
It is always exciting to salvage an antique piece to make it wearable again. This is a great example and a lovely antique diamond solitaire that will be a great addition to your collection. Great for stacking or to be worn alone.
