A delightful and original diamond solitaire ring set with four calibre cut sapphires set in 18ct white gold and dating from the 1920s.
Set with a bright, fiery and lively .50ct old European cut diamond and featuring hand pierced filigree details throughout. The old European cut diamond measures 5.3mm and is truly fabulous, draws a bit of warm colour and is mounted on an intricately detailed gallery with hand carved filigree details, very typical of the Art Deco period. With four calibre cut sapphires surrounding the head of the ring, this is a truly stunning example of craftsmanship, the engraved accents incorporate delightful shapes and textures across the ring. In very good antique condition, one small pierced leaf missing at the shoulder as seen in the photo, but this is hardly noticeable. Rises 5.8mm off the finger.
