A superb Georgian ring set in 15ct gold, featuring a beautiful fuchsia pink ruby with six creamy pearls and a scattering of sapphires in a cluster. All hand crafted, as pieces from this period were, the ruby takes centre stage, exhibiting the most glorious bright pink colour; the stone measures 4.2 x 3.5mm and is securely bezel set. With a further six well matched natural pearls and sapphires, all set within an intricate, hand engraved cluster. The ornate shank features astounding repousse detailing conveying flowers and foliage decoration, remaining consistent all around the shank and exhibiting expertly executed workmanship. The whole cluster measures 13.7 x 12mm - some wear commensurate with age to some of the pearls, the ruby remains in wonderful condition, with lovely facets, some very slight evidence of wear, but generally free of abrasions and nicks.
