This is a truly spectacular diamond half hoop, Italian in origin and dating from the Art Deco era, c.1920.
Set with five truly beautiful old cut diamonds of exceptional colour and clarity, totalling around 1.35ct. The are all unique and full of character, with high chunky crowns, showcasing great fire and sparkle. Near colourless and VS1, the old cut diamonds are set in slightly pinched platinum cases (reminiscent of the classic Georgian half hoop), and measure 18.3mm across. Perfect for stacking, it sits lovely and low on the finger and as it’s open back, you can wear it everyday without worrying about getting it wet. The shank is thick and solid gold with slightly patterned shoulders on both sides.
