A stunningly beautiful ring set in 15ct yellow gold and dating from the Victorian period.
Taking centre stage is a large chrysoberyl that has the most striking and luminous lime green colour. A slab of a stone, it measures a substantial 5.4 x 4mm. Set with a further four bright emerald paste and six bright pinky purple almandine garnets in an ornately scrolled slightly raised gallery, this ring is a fine example of Victorian craftsmanship. The whole setting measures 15.3 x 9.1mm. Each shoulder has beautiful hand chased engraving that goes all the way around the shank. Small evidence of historical resize noticeable under magnification.
