A wonderful Victorian old mine cut five stone diamond ring, set in 18ct buttery solid gold. Featuring high domes and puffy crowns, these chunky old mine cut diamonds are full of character and are just dreamy! With an approximate .90tcw, the centre diamond measures around 3.5mm in diameter with the spread across measuring 14.8mm wide and rising 4.4mm off the finger. The piece is in very good antique condition, signs of use and wear as expected with age. The stones are secure within their settings, bright and lively and eye clean with a few inclusions visible under magnification. Crafted in buttery high carat gold there’s faint evidence of a previous inscription on the shank, though sadly it has been rubbed off with age and it is not possible to read. No previous evidence of resize, good solid sturdy shank.
