An exceptional Victorian mourning ring, set in 18ct yellow gold and dated 1849.
Absolutely beautiful from every angle, it features a glowing natural garnet with the most vivid pink colour, a large stone, weighing in at .75ct in its bezel setting. Surrounding the garnet are ten creamy coloured seed pearls (one is an old replacement) and on either side are the sweetest black and white enamel flower designs sitting on scrolled shoulders that lead to a hand decorated patterned shank. In good antique condition, there is some slight loss to the black enamel on one side. An antique mourning ring made with love for a loved one, a unique and wonderful piece dating from the mid 19th century, ready to be worn again.
