A beautiful antique sardonyx ring depicting a forget me not flower carved within the stone. Crafted by hand, there’s some wonderful details, including the two little flowers either side of the carved sardonyx, with the petals shaped out one by one.
A very unique ring as it set with two gold bands each individually hallmarked. One band still has some of the original engravings to it, whilst the other is a plain gold band, both hallmarked for 15ct and 22ct gold respectively. The addition of the second band was done historically, most likely as an added reinforcement to the original. In lovely antique condition, this is a beautiful Georgian /early Victorian mourning ring.
