An impressive antique flower cluster set in 9ct rose gold and dating from the Georgian era, c.1820.

Featuring eight flat cut almandine garnets surrounding a citrine to form an impressive flower cluster of gemstones. The foiled citrine still catches the light and twinkles against the darker garnets, a very attractive colour combination. This is a well loved piece, there’s a nibble to one of the garnets (as seen in photo) and there’s wear commensurate with age, though nothing serious and just noted for accuracy. The setting measures an impressive 13.5 x 10.8mm and it sits low on the finger making it a comfortable piece to wear. Particularly striking are the exquisite scrolled shoulders, featuring hand engraved swirls and details that go half way round the band. Set in 9ct old rose gold, the shank is in good condition showing evidence of a historical resize.

Size: Q/US8 (resizable with care)

Tested 9ct

Weighs 4.2 g

A superb piece for a collector of Georgian jewellery with an appreciation of history. Impressive in size and design, this piece can still be enjoyed today if worn with care and considering it is over 200 years old, it is in remarkable condition.
