THE most stunning opal and diamond dress ring I have come across in a long while!
Dating from the mid twentieth century, this beautiful ring is set with a wonderful oval shaped natural opal that has crazily stunning play of colour everywhere you look. The full spectrum of the rainbow is there as it flashes and catches the light in every angle. Set in platinum are four old cut diamonds on each side and top, all bright, white and sparkly. This is truly one beautifully designed ring that packs a punch! In good overall condition, there is some minor wear commensurate with age, no significant chips/abrasions to the opal, there’s some inclusions visible under high magnification. The opal measures 8.5 x 5.5mm and the setting (n to s) measures 14mm and sits nice and low on the finger. Set in 18ct yellow gold, the shank is good and solid all around. Truly, a one of a kind ring that is a complete joy to wear, admire and show off!
