I was tempted to omit the blurb on this, because this fabulous ring truly speaks for itself…it is exquisite!
Dating from the 1870s and Italian in origin, it is set with three plump and chunky old mine cut diamonds. The centre one is approximately .80ct and measures 5.6mm with two further old cuts, measuring 3.6mm and approximately .20ct each - a total of around 1.20ct. The diamonds are open backed, silver set in a typical pie crust pinched setting that measures 14.3mm wide. They are bright, full of fire and charm with high chunky crowns - totally beautiful and extremely twinkly! The diamonds are completely eye clean, just to note (under high magnification), there are some inclusions visible, underneath the centre diamond - at the very edge, hidden beneath the silver setting, I can make out a few small nicks; this is not noticeable to the naked eye and they are well camouflaged. With split shoulders leading to an elegant simple gold band, a lovely low profile, it is a great one for stacking or rocking solo and an absolute joy to wear!
