A wonderful mid Victorian ruby and split pearl ring, crafted in 15ct yellow gold.
Featuring a row of six claw set square cut rubies and a row of six split pearls set across an intricate gallery with beautiful scrolled shoulders, leading to a finely hand chased decorated shank. The stones remain in lovely condition, minimal wear evident, the pearls are all well matched of a pinky white grey colour and a good lustre to them, with one pearl slightly pushed into its setting - this does not detract from the beauty of the ring and is noted for accuracy. The setting measures 8mm across and is 3.5mm wide.
A super special friendship or lovers’ ring, it has the initials “F & A” engraved on the back.
